The play is adapted from the novel of the same name, originally written by I Eat Tomatoes. It tells the story of the evil beings in the Cangyuan world and the devastation of the human race. The protagonist, Meng Chuan, made a vow to avenge his mother when he was a child. Starting from the Jinghu Taoist Temple, he relies on his perseverance, fearless will, and decisive sword skills to punish evildoers and destroy the demon clan. The story includes his journey to the top of the Four Avenues, rise to fame in Dongning Mansion, worship at the Yuanchu Mountain, and eventual ascension as a generation of gods and demons.
