The Yongning Princess Li Changge, whose parents had an unexplained and perplexing relationship with Li Shimin, emerged in these Li’s mysteries. After learning of her mother’s suicide and her father’s murder following the Xuanwu Gate Incident, Changge fled the palace with bitterness and assumed the identity of a man to conceal her identity and bring troops back to Chang’an to exact revenge on her parents.
